How Do We Worship God in Spirit and in Truth? Here Are 2 Points

The life the Lord gives us is light and easy. With God’s guidance, we will live freely and at ease. Just as the Lord Jesus said, “For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:30). We all know we should attend gatherings, read God’s words, and draw close to God more often. Yet why are we always entangled in various people, events and things so that we have no time to draw near to God, and often stay away from God, living in great pain?
God’s word says, “It can be said in this way: What God wants to do in man is exactly what Satan wants to destroy, and what Satan wants to destroy is expressed through man, completely unconcealed. There are clear examples of what God does in people: Their conditions are getting better and better. There are also clear representations of Satan’s destruction in mankind: They are becoming more and more depraved, and their conditions are sinking ever lower. Once their situations grow dire enough, they are liable to be captured by Satan.” From God’s words, we come to understand that God does the work to save us, but Satan tries every possible means to bind us and occupy our hearts. Its purpose is to let us have no time to worship God, get away from God, and eventually lose the chance of being saved, fall into disasters and be destroyed. So, on the one hand, we should understand God’s earnest intention of saving us and the importance of attending gatherings and drawing close to God. On the other hand, we should see through Satan’s trick. No matter how busy we are, we need to pray to God and ask God to make a way out for us so that we can spare the time to attend gatherings and get close to God. The more we get close to God, the more we can live before God, and the more normal our spiritual state will be. As such, Satan will no longer dare to disturb us; God will care for and protect us; our pain, pressure, and worries will be gone little by little.

The Last Days Are Here: Are You Prepared to Meet God?

The Lord Jesus said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come” (John 16:12–13). “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). The Lord prophesied that He would come back in the last days to speak words and guide us into all truth. In other words, if we find new words that God has expressed in the last days, we will know that the Lord has returned. At present, over the world only The Church of Almighty God is publicly testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned as Almighty God, Christ of the last days, and He has expressed millions of words. Therefore, if we want to determine whether Almighty God is the returned Lord Jesus, we need to read Almighty God’s words to see whether His words are the truth, and whether they have the authority and power. Let’s read two passages of Almighty God’s words together.

Signs of the Coming of the Son of Man Have Been Seen: How Will the Lord Jesus Return?

The Lord Jesus once said, “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man” (Luke 17:26). As we all know, the people in the time of Noah were corrupt and depraved, and they stopped at no evil, and were finally destroyed by God with a flood. Nowadays people become ever more corrupt, evil, violent, and greedy. Many people come to realize that the days of Noah have reappeared, and the day of the Lord’s coming has arrived. While waiting for the Lord to come, some people raise some confusions: Why have we not yet seen the Lord come with clouds? Before we figure out the answer, let’s first think about these three issues: How will the Lord return in the last days? What work will the Lord do when He comes again? How can we welcome the Lord? Let us read the article to find the correct way to welcome the Lord’s return.

How Can We Dine at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?

The Pharisees in the time of Jesus often used the method of interpreting the Scripture for the Jewish believers to twist its meaning, misguide, and mislead people. Outwardly they were humble and patient, but they hated the truth, hated God, and wildly resisted God. They claimed that the Lord Jesus cast out devils through the prince of devils, because they feared the Jewish believers would follow the Lord, and that in turn no one would support or provide for them, nor could they retain their status and positions; so they wildly spread rumors, slandered, and blasphemed the Lord Jesus to make believers deny that the Lord Jesus is the Messiah and reject the Lord’s salvation. The Jewish believers were deceived by the outward piety of the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees. The Jewish people regarded them as leaders in their faith in God, blindly obeyed the evil ideas and fallacies spread by the Jewish leaders, refused to investigate the work of the Lord Jesus, and eventually followed the leaders of Judaism in resisting and condemning the Lord and nailing the Lord Jesus to the cross, and were cursed and punished by God. This entirely fulfills God’s prophecy, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).
As for how to welcome the Lord’s return, the Bible says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). God’s words are very clear in stating that in the matter of receiving the Lord’s return, only by always praying to the Lord, hearing what the voice of the Holy Spirit says to the churches, and recognizing the voice of God can we receive the returned Lord Jesus and attend the feast of the Lamb.

Reflection on Matthew 25: How to Become Wise Virgins

The Lord Jesus said, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6). It is prophesied in the Book of Revelation, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
Almighty God says, “[S]ince we are searching for the footprints of God, it behooves us to search for God’s will, for the words of God, for His utterances—because wherever there are new words spoken by God, the voice of God is there, and wherever there are the footsteps of God, God’s deeds are there. Wherever there is the expression of God, there God appears, and wherever God appears, there the truth, the way, and the life exist. In seeking God’s footprints, you have ignored the words ‘God is the truth, the way, and the life.’ And so, many people, even when they receive the truth, do not believe that they have found God’s footprints, and still less do they acknowledge the appearance of God. What a grave mistake!”

The Biblical Story of Job: The 3 Main Manifestations of Job’s Fear of God

What is to fear God? And how to shun evil?
“To fear God” does not mean nameless fright and horror, nor to evade, nor to put at a distance, nor is it idolization or superstition. Rather, it is admiration, esteem, trust, understanding, caring, obedience, consecration, love, as well as unconditional and uncomplaining worship, requital, and surrender. Without genuine knowledge of God, humanity will not have genuine admiration, genuine trust, genuine understanding, genuine caring or obedience, but only dread and unease, only doubt, misunderstanding, evasion, and avoidance; without genuine knowledge of God, humanity will not have genuine consecration and requital; without genuine knowledge of God, humanity will not have genuine worship and surrender, only blind idolization and superstition; without genuine knowledge of God, humanity cannot possibly act in accordance with the way of God, or fear God, or shun evil. Conversely, every activity and behavior in which man engages will be filled with rebellion and defiance, with slanderous imputations and calumnious judgments about Him, and with evil conduct running contrary to the truth and to the true meaning of God’s words.

The Story of Job: Why Did Job Curse the Day of His Birth?

God says, “When Satan stretched forth its hand to afflict the bones of Job, Job fell into its clutches, without the means to escape or the strength to resist. His body and soul suffered enormous pain, and this pain made him deeply aware of the insignificance, frailty, and powerlessness of man living in the flesh. At the same time, he also gained a profound understanding of why God is of a mind to care for and look after mankind. In Satan’s clutches, Job realized that man, who is of flesh and blood, is actually so powerless and weak. When he fell to his knees and prayed to God, he felt as if God was covering His face, and hiding, for God had completely placed him in the hands of Satan. At the same time, God also wept for him, and, moreover, was aggrieved for him; God was pained by his pain, and hurt by his hurt…. Job felt God’s pain, as well as how unbearable it was for God…. Job did not want to bring any more grief upon God, nor did he want God to weep for him, much less did he want to see God pained by him. At this moment, Job wanted only to divest himself of his flesh, to no longer endure the pain brought upon him by this flesh, for this would stop God being tormented by his pain—yet he could not, and he had to tolerate not only the pain of the flesh, but also the torment of not wishing to make God anxious.”

Do You Know How Important God’s Law and His 10 Commandments Are to Mankind?

During the Age of Law, Jehovah God laid down many commandments to guide the lives of the people on earth. What intentions of God are contained within these commandments and requirements? Let us explore together the content and result of the work God did in the Age of Law!

“After the creation of mankind in the beginning, it was the Israelites who served as the basis of work, and the whole of Israel was the base of Jehovah’s work on earth. The work of Jehovah was to directly lead and shepherd man through setting forth the laws so that man could live a normal life and worship Jehovah in a normal manner on earth. God in the Age of Law was One who could neither be seen nor touched by man. He was merely leading men first corrupted by Satan, and He was there to instruct and shepherd these men, so the words He spoke were only of statutes, ordinances, and common knowledge of living life as a man, and not at all of truths that supply the life of man. The Israelites under His leadership were not those deeply corrupted by Satan. His work of law was only the very first stage in the work of salvation, the very beginning of the work of salvation, and had practically nothing to do with the changes in the life disposition of man.”from The Word Appears in the Flesh

Christmas Reflection: Are You Truly Worshiping the Lord Jesus?

Perhaps brothers and sisters will say, “The Lord Jesus was nailed upon the cross to redeem all mankind, and so as to remember and celebrate the Lord Jesus’ birth, Christians established Christmas. Though the specific day on which the Lord Jesus was born is not recorded in the Bible, Christmas gradually became a universal holiday in the wake of the expansion of Jesus Christ’s gospel.” We may have known this, but do we know God’s love and His will for us that was actually hidden behind the birth of the Lord Jesus? And how should we approach Christmas in a way that is after the Lord’s heart?

Unveiled: The True Meaning of “It Is Finished” Spoken by the Lord Jesus on the Cross

Many people think that God’s work of salvation has already been completed because the Lord Jesus spoke the words on the cross, “It is finished,” and that when the Lord returns, He will directly rapture us into the kingdom of heaven. So, when they hear someone testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned and has done the new work, they feel very puzzled. In fact, the Lord Jesus has already predicted that He would do a new stage of work in the last days. For example, the Lord said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). “He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). From the prophecies of the Lord Jesus, we know that when the Lord returns, He will express truths that we do not understand, and do a stage of work of judgment. So, what did the Lord Jesus mean when He said “It is finished” on the cross? How does the Lord do His work to save people when He returns?
