She is overcome with misunderstandings about God and filled with blame for God, and plunged into misery…. Through experiencing the judgment and revelations of God’s words, she comes to understand that the sacrifices she’s made and her expending herself was all done to obtain blessings—she was making deals with God, using Him and trying to cheat Him. She is struck with remorse and self-reproach, and wishes to repent and change. After going through this disease, what understanding does she come to, and what harvest does she reap? Based on a True Story Christian Movies (English Dubbed) | “An Officer’s Repentance”

The main character in An Officer’s Repentance was once a simple farmer’s son. After joining the army, he quickly starts going along with the unwritten rules in his unit in an effort to obtain status, praise and promotions, fawning on and flattering his superiors, treating them to meals, and buying them gifts. He is promoted up the ladder to battalion commander and begins to walk the path of corruption. He turns over a new leaf after finding faith in God and leaves the army, only to find that he is still bound by Satan’s philosophies and laws. In order to become church leader, he once again uses underhanded means, but ends up being exposed and dealt with by the brothers and sisters. He’s left distressed and miserable for failing to get the position. Through the judgment and revelation of God’s words, he slowly comes to understand the essence and consequences of seeking status, and he begins to pursue the truth and walk the right path in life.

Opening the Door to My Heart and Welcoming the Lord’s Return

In November of 1982, our whole family emigrated to the USA. We had all had faith in the Lord since my grandfather’s generation, so we found a Chinese church in New York’s Chinatown soon after arriving in the United States so we could attend mass. We never missed a single mass, and my mother and sister were especially good about reading the scriptures whenever they had time in order to seek God’s blessing and protection. The priest would often say: “When the Lord comes, He will judge people publicly and divide them into categories: Those who truly repent and confess and practice their faith will be able to go to heaven; those who commit minor sins but not grave ones will suffer the torment of purgatory, but they will still be able to be saved and ascend to heaven; those who do not believe in God or commit sins that are too grave will suffer the punishment of hell.” These words left a deep impression on my heart, just as if they had been branded there. They spurred me to believe in God enthusiastically, and no matter how busy I was, I never failed to go to mass. Continue reading →
