Christian Stage Play 2021 “A Family on the Brink” | Based on a True Story (English Dubbed)

Su Xiangchen is arrested when she’s in a gathering and her husband Chen Jianwei, a member of the armed forces, reports it to his boss when he finds out. His boss threatens him and commands him to force Su Xiangchen to give up her faith, or he will also be implicated, kicked out of the Communist Party and the armed forces. Jianwei tries to convince Xiangchen to give up her faith using both hard and soft tactics in an effort to protect his position and living, forbidding her from going to gatherings or reading God’s words. He also brings in other nonbeliever family members for an intervention to force her to choose between her faith and her family. Which one will Xiangchen choose? We can see from the Lord’s words that no matter what setbacks, tribulations, and hardships we encounter, as long as we pray and rely on God and have true faith in Him, we will be led by Him, see His miraculous deeds, and overcome all difficulties. True Stories of Faith in God: God Saved My Daughter From Death

God says: “In their belief in God, what people seek is to obtain blessings for the future; this is their goal in their faith. All people have this intent and hope, but the corruption in their nature must be resolved through trials. In whichever aspects you are not purified, these are the aspects in which you must be refined—this is God’s arrangement. God creates an environment for you, forcing you to be refined there so that you can know your own corruption. Ultimately, you reach a point at which you would rather die and give up your schemes and desires, and submit to God’s sovereignty and arrangement. Therefore, if people do not have several years of refinement, if they do not endure a certain amount of suffering, they will not be able to rid themselves of the bondage of corruption of the flesh in their thoughts and in their hearts. In whichever aspects you are still subject to Satan’s bondage, and in whichever aspects you still have your own desires and your own demands, these are the aspects in which you should suffer. Only through suffering can lessons be learned, which means being able to gain truth, and understand God’s will. In fact, many truths are understood by experiencing painful trials. Nobody can comprehend God’s will, recognize God’s almightiness and wisdom, or appreciate God’s righteous disposition when in a comfortable and easy environment or when circumstances are favorable. That would be impossible!”

Having true faith is what God requires of each of us Christians. So, do you have true faith? Some people might say, “I have been actively attending meetings, reading the Bible, and praying to God since I believed in the Lord. I always follow the Lord firmly no matter what happens. Isn’t this true faith in God?” In fact, this can only prove that true faith in God are willing to believe in God, but it is not true faith in God. Why? This is because in our life, when looking for a job or dealing with some difficult problems, we will pray to God, but when we see that our difficulties are not solved, we will become discouraged and disappointed in God; when we get sick, or something terrible occurs at home, we can still misunderstand and complain to God, and even betray and leave God. It can be seen that our faith in God cannot stand to be tested. So, what is true faith in God? How should we do to maintain faith in God during trials?

Almighty God says, “What the work of judgment brings about is man’s understanding of the true face of God and the truth about his own rebelliousness. The work of judgment allows man to gain much understanding of the will of God, of the purpose of God’s work, and of the mysteries that are incomprehensible to him. It also allows man to recognize and know his corrupt substance and the roots of his corruption, as well as to discover the ugliness of man. These effects are all brought about by the work of judgment, for the substance of this work is actually the work of opening up the truth, the way, and the life of God to all those who have faith in Him.
