Su Xiangchen is arrested when she’s in a gathering and her husband Chen Jianwei, a member of the armed forces, reports it to his boss when he finds out. His boss threatens him and commands him to force Su Xiangchen to give up her faith, or he will also be implicated, kicked out of the Communist Party and the armed forces. Jianwei tries to convince Xiangchen to give up her faith using both hard and soft tactics in an effort to protect his position and living, forbidding her from going to gatherings or reading God’s words. He also brings in other nonbeliever family members for an intervention to force her to choose between her faith and her family. Which one will Xiangchen choose?
