When the main character accepted the Lord Jesus in the early 1990s, the services she attended filled her with peace and joy. But over time, she discovers that in the church, there are more and more illicit things happening, there is jealousy and infighting between the elders, the preachers have nothing to say, and the believers’ faith grows cool and they follow worldly trends. She feels the church has deteriorated, but she doesn’t know why. Then she runs into Brother Chen by chance, and through their fellowship, she comes to understand the reason behind the desolation in the church. She follows the footsteps of the Lamb and once again enjoys the work of the Holy Spirit—her parched spirit is finally nourished.
